Filipino Nationalism, Do we Filipinos really know what it is? For some of us it is simply respecting our country but what does it really mean. As a Filipino my opinion about nationalism is a form of respect that cannot be bought and cannot be learned but can only be given by true Filipino men. This kind of respect is priceless. Most of us always say that we are true Filipinos but if you observe people in the street you would see some littering, is this what most of us refer to as respect for the country. If we are true Filipinos shouldn't we be helping our country instead of polluting it. Our goal should be clear by now that we should not only try to be equal to other nations in terms of economics but aim to be better. We Filipinos are obscured by our mediocrity and we should try to eliminate this habit for it blocks our way to becoming better. One of our heroes said that "Filipinos Are worth dying for." We should try to make other people believe that its true ,and not think that its not. We should live our lives according to what is right not to what our bad habits tell us to do.
